As soon as you enter the grounds through the Queen Mother Gates and see the stunning towers and turrets which are nestled at the end of the drive, you can't fail to be impressed by its majesty. Steeped in rich history, the castle has evolved over the years to become a stunning architectural treasure full of vitality to this day.

Inside, each and every room has its own story. The castle's evolution and its legendary tales are brought to life by enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guides. Each painting, piece of furniture and little detail along the way are a reminder that this is not only a museum but an incredible family home which has witnessed everything you could imagine, from Royal births to being the setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth.
